The stock market goes up and it goes down... so do airfares. A price alert informs you when prices have dropped on an airfare that you’re interested in. Practice setting up hypothetical “email travel alerts” at the following three websites. Study how they work and prepare for your next trip!

www.kayak.com - Be alerted to airfare price drops.

  1. Register (registration is free), which will save your home airport or airport you want your trip to originate from
  2. Click on Buzz
  3. Click on Create New Alert and follow instructions

  2. On registration page, click on Farewatcher and follow instructions

  • Those airlines that offer refunds or vouchers for price drops can be tagged for your notification should a price drop occur before your departure.
